The Islamic Information Association (IIA) aims to spread the message of Islam on the Laurier campus. We have weekly boothing, educational events, and create informational materials.

Weekly Boothing

Have questions about Islam? Visit our Dawah booth in the Concourse every Tuesday from 1–4 PM! Chat with our team, ask questions, and pick up a Quran or Islamic brochures. We’re here to help you learn more!

Education

We host high-quality workshops on Islam and dawah, including Dawah Training sessions open to the community. We also create engaging materials and share well-researched, informative content on Islam through our social media platforms regularly.

Does IIA provide resources?

Yes! The main mission of IIA is to spread knowledge about Islam. We have resources available at our weekly booth, and throughout the year our team will be working on creating additional guides and brochures.

How do I get involved with IIA?

If you want to get involved with IIA, you can sign up as a general member here: https://linktr.ee/wluiia . Make sure to follow our instagram @wluiia to get notified each time we are hosting a workshop. If you would like to become a dawah lead, get in touch with one of our team members, and we will help you complete the required training.

How is IIA different from MSA?

The MSA focuses more on catering towards the Muslim community, which is done through religious and social events whereas IIA is focused on spreading dawah and educating the Laurier community about Islam. We aim to cultivate a safe and positive environment where people can ask questions.
